And so it begins...Slumdog night
Slumdog Millionaire just won it's first Oscar of the night and I have a feeling it wont be the last.
Best Writing, Screenplay Based on Material Previously Produced or Published
Winner: Slumdog Millionaire (2008) - Simon Beaufoy
So far every time we see Kate Winslet she seems on the verge of tears.
Oh No! Jennifer Aniston is presenting...and she doesn't look good. Her hair, is...well like the start of a cheerleader hair-do, some kind of herringbone braid in the front and then the rest just laying there looking messy. I know everyone gets on her for only wearing black to red carpet stuff but she doesn't look good in champagne, it is too pale. It looked kind of matronly.
And, what you know everyone was waiting for, the pan to the audience to show Angelina Jolie watching, of course she was smiling and laughing, she knows how this works. But it is kind of a set up when Jennifer was presenting with Jack Black who was in a nominated film with Angelina, Kung Fu Panda. What? No pan to Brad?
And why is Jack Black presenting when his movie was up for the award? But it didn't win.
Ooops! There it is, the pan to Brad. Leaning on his elbow, fingers to chin, trying to look casual, laughing and smiling, of course. He knows the deal too.
Some Japanese guy just won for an animated short.
