Despite my constant claims that I never have enough time to do anything, I seem to find plenty of time to waste on-line. This is my proof of time wasted.

CBS, it is not 1985

CBS News at 10 just did a piece on the "first" real virus threat to Mac's. First, the anchor stumbled over the name "OS X", second and most unbelievable, they showed a clip of a computer show room that looked like a Radio Shack in 1985, then when they showed a computer up close is WAS 1985 because they showed a Macintosh Plus! There it sat in all its beige glory, sad and lonely on a faux wood 1985 desk to match.

The Macintosh Plus was released in January 1986 and had a whole 1MB, but you could up that baby to an insane 4MB! And, just imagine, how fast that thing was with 8 Mhz processor.

Back to CBS, with all the Mac images out there, imacs, ipods, G5's and the best they could come up with was a Macintosh Plus???
